RUNA FORGE:
The RUNA Forge – Intermediate Course of Fire is an immersive defensive handgun program built for shooters who already understand firearm basics and want to sharpen their skill under more realistic pressure. This is not a beginner class. Students must arrive confident in safe firearm handling and ready to train with intention.
This course builds the Dangerous Protector mindset through structured reps, controlled stress, and purposeful movement. Students progress through drills involving Mozambique/Failure Drills, strong-hand and support-hand shooting, tactical reloads, kneeling positions, and malfunction clearing.
Course Overview
Training begins with a comprehensive safety briefing, full range orientation, and expectations for the day. Before a single round is chambered, students will receive instruction on:
Stance and balance under stress Grip and recoil control “Getting off the X” and movement principles Situational awareness and threat processing The role of de-escalation in violent encounters Before loading magazines or stepping onto the firing line, the instructor will walk the students through every movement and the full Course of Fire so the day runs safely and smoothly.
COUPLES FIREARM FUNDAMENTALS – VALENTINE’S DAY
This course is perfect for couples who are brand new to firearms, where one partner wants to help the other become more comfortable, or couples who want to expand their training with a solid fundamentals refresher.
You’ll learn essential firearm safety, basic handgun function, and key shooting fundamentals before moving to the range for structured, confidence-building live fire together.
What You’ll Learn: Core safety rules & safe storage Handgun parts, types, and basic operation Fundamentals: grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control Simple malfunction clearing Confidence-building live-fire drills as a team
Format Short classroom session + supervised live-fire range time.
What to Bring Unloaded firearm in a case 50 rounds of ammo per Student. Eye & ear protection (Limited available if needed) Closed-toe shoes (Rental firearms and ammo available—contact instructor after registering)
Pricing Class cost covers both students and includes a range fee ($25 per person). Rental firearms and ammo available at additional cost.

Refund Policy: Refunds are available in FRS class credit, redeemable for 1 year. Due to the outside range, Refunds will be issued fully if the weather requires the class to be canceled.

A practical, no-nonsense introduction to handguns using the USCCA Basic Handguns curriculum. This course blends classroom instruction with an on-range practical so you’ll learn the why behind safe handling and immediately practice the fundamentals under supervised conditions.

Students must demonstrate proper stance, grip, muzzle awareness, and safe handling before the instructor issues the command to Load and Make Ready. Live fire does not begin until readiness is confirmed.
Skills Developed Throughout this 100-round progression, students will strengthen: Two-handed, strong-hand, and support-hand shooting Mozambique / Failure Drill execution (2 center mass, 1 head) Kneeling and positional shooting with stability Tactical reloads and efficient weapon handling Immediate and remedial malfunction clearing Accuracy at speed and controlled cadence Movement, problem-solving, and real-world defensive decision-making
The final phase includes a malfunction lab where live rounds and snap caps are randomly mixed to force real-time correction and reinforce automaticity.

Refunds: Issued only as credit toward a future FRS class; credit expires one calendar year from issue.
